Iraq completed a critical effort to form a new government after the elections a few months ago with the Iraqi Parliament announcing the first Cabinet .  There are still a few positions open but the vast majority is in place and can now take action to promote a positive future for Iraq.  Many said this day would never come, that the nation would dissolve into fratricidal civil war first and split into three separate warring states, but that has not happened and today the nation stands united still.  They are finally able to actually the do the things they, as a people, want and need done rather than the selfish needs of one ruthless man.

The next few months as they start taking charge should be interesting.
